Cooking hacks

In present times life has gotten so busy...everyone of us is trying to fulfill daily goals , reach deadlines and do a little more everyday and in this daily hustle managing basic chores such as cooking can seem a lot time consuming especially when you are a mom and have many other things to do.....we moms love cooking hacks and tricks that help us without compromising on the quality and nutrition of our food ....here i have listed some of the things that will save you a lot of time and energy so you can  spend it with your loved ones....rather than sorting breakfast , lunch   and dinner (don’t forget the in-between snacks) so lets go...

1 boiled chickpeas...
Always have boiled chickpeas(garbanzo beans) in your fridge Boiled chickpeas are so versatile....there are dozens of possibilities with these little power packed legumes . I don’t recommend the pre boiled canned version they are full of chemicals and don't taste as good as home boiled ones , (tip) Boil a pack of chickpeas also known as garbanzo beans once boiled they can last a good 3 to 4 days in refrigerator given that no extra fluid is in there and you can also freeze them and they can last for almost a year 😊 you can toss them in salads , soups , stews and dips (hummus the world famous dip) our very own chana chat,  murgh cholay ,chana pulao.....
2 shami kebabs(gram lentil and mince fritter)

After every grocery trip the next day is always my shami kebab making day it just takes a pack of chana dal and minced meat , you can also make them with  whole meat (beef, chicken)any if you love a little bit texture to your kebabs i prefer the minced meat version it takes less time and tastes just as good with right amount of seasoning.
3 frozen parathas/roti

They are a life saver when you want a quick breakfast   or  a snack to go with other things ,while you can make and freeze rotis or parathas easily at home just roll them and place them on top of each other with butter paper in between and store in zip lock bag avoiding air pockets and you are good to go they can last  upto 2 months , you can also buy the forzen versions available at supermarkets they do good and taste awesome.

5 boiled kidney beans

boil kidney beans and store them ,they are good for quick salads , soups and curries and contain just the right amount of nutrients.

6.  chop your veggies
after bringing veggies home don’t toss them in the fridge rather chop them and place them in zip lock bags it will save you time when cooking , just take out portion and cook no cutting , dicing or cleaning up again and again it will also save space in your fridge .

7 prepare your seasonings
make a blend of your favourite seasonings or spices in water or tomato sauce and freeze in cubes , once frozen pack them in air tight containers with labels, it will save you hassle of finding and mixing herbs or spices when cooking just add these flavour cubes according to taste and you are good to go

Hope you liked these time saving  cooking hacks , do try these and give feedback.
