Healthy hair are every women’s dream while you may have rocked lustrous ,thick locks throughout your pregnancy (thanks to raised estrogen levels)your postpartum hair phase can be shocking due to postpartum hair loss anyhow dont freak out i am here to help, first of as your hormone levles start to go down and stablize themselves you are bound to loose hair because estrogen makes hair in a resting phase so which hair are supposed to fall even they stay(an average person looses 100 hair per day but its not at once so we dont tend to notice anyhow back to your healthy hair guide.....we know you are so busy with your little bundle of joy and duties and you hardly get the time to maintain your self(let alone your hair.....)but these easy steps will surely improve your hair and they wont interfere with your mommy duties and take only a few minutes....
1. oil your hair....
one of the best things you can do for your hair to help them in the long run is to oil them no matter which oil , just oil them because dry hair tend to fall more , healthy organic hair oils are best or if you find it too daunting we got you covered you can use the oil in cream formulas they are not as sticky , absorb quickly can stay in hair for one or two days without giving that tacky oily vibe ,just take a little product on your palms and rub from root to tips this works wonders if kept overnight and i am saying because i tried it,i recommend loreal 6 oil nourishment oil in cream ,it has 6 oils infused and gives just the right amount of moisture required , plus no extra massaging to get the product absorbed....just takes a few minutes...you can do it at night before going to bed and keep it for 1 or 2 days then shampoo(if you have time for it)
2* supply extra nutrients
Chances are that you are already taking your multi vitamins....if not you better start because they will not only help with postpartum nutrient needs but also help your hair to stay healthy specially the vitamin A keeps hair moisturized and zinc plays important role in hair tissue growth and repair so these are superfoods for hair.... don’t forget to take your post natal vitamins.....and don't buy into the hype of special "hair supplements" your daily multi vitamin will do fine....
3 let your hair loose.....
While it may seem difficult given that we mommy ninjas have to perform a gazillion tasks and loose open hair can be a pain to manage....(plus if they’ll be open you will be more prone to pull them out....welcome to motherhood.)but just try not to tie them too tightly or you will end up with clumps of fallen hair due to the tension that tight ponies and buns place on the follicles, use metal- less hair ties ,a loose pony or a messy bun is right( all hail the postpartum messy bun)
4 Don’t shampoo frequently(as if you have time for that)
Yes mommies in search of clean, fresh hair don’t overdo the shampoo thing , thrice a week is good, no more than that because excessive shampooing makes hair loose moisture and you end up loosing more hair plus whenever use shampoo dilute it with water to dilute those chemicals and make application easier (so it reaches the scalp and roots)most shampoos are too creamy to do it....also if you think you have excessive oil build-up....use a dry shampoo it will soak up extra oil and give you a fresh look
5 don’t shower with very hot water
while it may be relaxing specially after a long mommy day, hot water not only dries out skin but hairs also and if they loose moisture they tend to break more easily....always use lukewarm water and last but not the least feel happy about them .......hope you liked the post all of the above are my tried and tested methods so don’t worry try them.....
xoxo Amber
